Plagiarism Detection

The Journal of Natural Hazards and Environment (J Nat Haz Environ) is a member of Crossref, thus; the manuscripts submitted for publication are subject to similarity ratio check with iThenticate service at the preliminary evaluation stage. During this process, iThenticate provides a similarity report consisting the percentage of similarity found by counting words and the markup of the different sections, expressions, or terms in the manuscript that are also found in other scientific documents. In case of a high similarity ratio, the Editor has the right to return the submitted manuscript to the corresponding author for reducing the high percentage of similarity ratio to the acceptable level (The total similarity rate of the manuscript should be maximum 15%.
